The incredible reincarnation tale of Som Dutt, who took rebirth nine years after his death as Veer Singh. Strangely he remembered all the events that happened after his death in his previous life. You would be shocked to read the real incarnation story from India that puzzled even famous reincarnation researcher Ian Stevenson.
Who was Veer Singh
Veer Singh was born in 1948 to Kali Ram Singh and Parsendi Devi in Alipur Kheri in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a state in Northern India.
Veer Singh was the eldest of three siblings, with two older brothers and one older sister. The boy was a slow learner but otherwise appeared normal.
The boy refuses to eat food cooked by his mother
When the boy was about three and a half years old, he started refusing to eat. His parents were not able to understand the reason behind his refusal to have food until one day when upon seeing his mother preparing ‘Roti’ (Indian bread), he declared, “I will not eat the food cooked by you.”
When his mother questioned him about the reason for such refusal, the boy said something that truly shocked her – “I am not your son. I am a Brahmin’s son.”
Parents investigate boy’s reincarnation claims
One day Veer Sigh’s family planned to visit a fair in their town. But when they gave the boy some money to spend at the fair, he got upset and threw away the money. When questioned about his strange behavior, he claimed that ‘his mother’ used to give him a lot more. The parents got curious after hearing these words and thought to investigate this further by questioning their son.
Veer Singh claims to be Som Dutt of Shikarpur
Veer Singh told that in his previous birth he was the son of Pandit Lakshmi Chand of Shikarpur, and his name was Som Dutt. The parents were startled to hear their son’s revelations about a previous life.
The story of Veer Singh’s previous life as Som Dutt shocked everyone and it quickly spread like a wildfire.
The incredible tale also reached Laxmi Chand of Shikarpur, who was Veer Singh’s father in his previous life. Laxmi Chand reached Alipur to find out the truth of the matter.
Boy meets his father from the previous birth
Vir Singh was summoned to the chaupal (village community center) where Laxmi Chand was already sitting. As soon as the boy saw Laxmichand, he ran up to him and hugged him, calling him father. Everyone in the chaupal was shocked by the scene. After meeting the son of his previous life, Lakshmichand ji became very emotional and tears welled up in his eyes.
Veer Singh was brought to the house of his previous birth. Here, apart from his mother and sisters, strangely he also recognized the brothers who were born after the death of Som Dutt. People were very surprised as to how Som Dutt recognized those brothers whom he had not even seen in his previous life.
How did he die in his prior life?
There are conflicting accounts about the boy’s death in his prior life as Som Dutt.
According to one account, Som Dutt’s aunt had gone up on the roof to chase away some monkeys and Som Dutt followed her. Seeing them, the monkeys retaliated and came running towards them. This frightened the aunt and she picked up Som Dutt in her arms and ran towards safety. Unfortunately, she lost her balance and the two tumbled off the roof together.
Another account is that two weeks after the monkey incident on the roof, one of the boy’s enraged uncles lifted up and hurled him to the ground and he died because of injuries that he sustained.
Som Dutt’s mother verified that both the incidents had actually occurred and the boy died of dysentery shortly after these incidents.
Where did the boy live for 9 years after his death?
Veer Singh, after his death in the previous life, claimed to have lived in the form of a spirit on a peepal tree near the house of his prior life. He lived there for nine years where he witnessed many after-life events that involved his family.
Startling claims made by Veer Singh
The boy told Laxmi Chand the names of the three children born to the family following Som Dutt’s death. He also recognized and correctly identified all the three siblings when he met them.
Once, some women were swinging from a peepal tree branch, his abode as a spirit. Irked by the women, he contemplated breaking the branch but then realized that doing so might result in someone’s death. So he instead broke the swing’s plank when they were close to the ground. Laxmi Chand confirmed that such an incident had actually occurred after Som Dutt’s death.
In his spirit form, he escorted the family members whenever they went out alone. Som Dutt’s mother narrated an interesting incident that sort of verified the claim. She said Som Dutt had appeared in her dream a few months after his death and told her that his older brother, Vishnu Dutt, was secretly sneaking out at night to visit the mela (a village fair) and attend fairs, and he had been escorting him. When she confronted Vishnu about this, he confessed to secretly visiting the village fair at night.
While living on the peepal tree, he would drink water from the nearby well to quench his thirst. When hungry, he would visit his home kitchen to have some Rotis (a variety of Indian bread).
He inquired about a camel that the family had purchased about four years after Som Dutt’s death. The camel had died three years before Veer Singh was born.
He talked about Muktar Singh, who had left the village after his house was burgled. The burglary had taken place after Som Dutt’s death.
Boy’s rebirth claims verified by Ian Stevenson
Veer Singh’s rebirth claims were verified by reincarnation researcher Ian Stevenson, who found most of the details relating to his previous life to be authentic making it one of the best reincarnation cases where the subject clearly remembers incidents from the after-life.
Veer Singh maintained a close relationship with both of his families and he felt privileged to get the affection of two mothers and two fathers simultaneously!
