The shocking tale of a girl who remembered events from her past life, including how she died!

Manju’s story is as enchanting as the reincarnation of Shanti Devi and Gopal Gupta.

Manju Sharma was born in 1969 to a poor family in Pasaulie, a village in the state of Uttar Pradesh. She began to strangely talk about belonging to a village called Chaumula, an adjoining village about 5 kilometers (3 miles) away. She also mentioned the names of both her father and brother from her previous life and that her father had a shop, thereby shocking her family.

As if this was not enough, Manju spoke about the last day of her previous life and also described how she had died.

How did Manju Sharma die in her previous birth?

Manju’s name was Krishna in her previous birth. She was just nine years old when something tragic happened. She had returned from her school and gone to a well to wash an idol of God. She suddenly lost her balance, fell into the well, and drowned to her death.

However, Manju’s parents did not take her claims seriously as they thought she is making up stories.

Manju, coincidentally, meets her uncle from previous birth

Once a man, named Babu Ram, rode into Pasaulie on his bicycle for some business-related work. As he was about to return, Manju came running up to him, held his bicycle, and said, “You are my uncle!“. Not recognizing her, Babu asked who she was. Manju replied, “You don’t know me, but I know you. You are my father’s brother. My father’s name is Ladali Saran.” Manju’s response shocked Babu Ram as Ladali Saran was, in fact, his brother.

Confused, Babu Ram asked Manju how she came to be in this village. Manju, then, narrated the past life incident of her death by drowning in a well while washing the idol. Babu Ram instantly realized that the girl standing in front of him is Krishna, her niece who had drowned in the well.

Manju pleaded with him to take her home with him. Babu Ram assured her that he would certainly do this some other day.

Manju’s previous life’s family gets to know of her reincarnation

Babu returned to Chaumula and told his brother’s family about his encounter with Manju in the Pasauli village. The family got curious to meet Manju and verify her claims.

The mother of the drowned girl, Krishna (Manju of previous life), was the first one to visit Manju. After meeting her, the mother was convinced that Manju is nobody else, but the reincarnation of her daughter, Krishna.

The next one to meet Manju was Krishna’s brother. He too was convinced that she is indeed her sister reborn.

Hearing Manju’s tales from his wife and son, Ladali Saran (Manju’s father in the previous birth) too got curious to investigate if Manju is her deceased daughter reborn.

Ladali met Manju and asked her numerous questions about the life of her deceased daughter, Krishna. Manju was able to correctly answer all his questions.

Convinced Manju is their daughter reborn, Krishna’s parents pleaded with Manju’s parents to allow them to take their daughter on a visit to Chaumula. Manju’s parents agreed on the condition that her brother would accompany her as well.

Manju visits her past life home at Chaumula

When Manju arrived at her home of previous birth with her brother and Krishna’s parents, she could recognize many things, particularly those that had belonged to her.

Manju’s claim was verified by an eminent parapsychologist

A renowned parapsychologist, Dr. Satwant Pasricha met Manju to investigate and verify her reincarnation claims. Dr. Pascricha was able to establish, without a doubt, that neither of the families had known each other before these events occurred no information could have been transferred to Manju consciously or subconsciously.

Dr. Pasricha was able to verify 19 out of 23 statements that Manju had made. The remaining four could not be proved.

The reincarnation of Manju Sharma was also chronicled by By Trutz Hardo in his book, 30 Most Convincing Cases of Reincarnation. Trutz Hardo is a well-known expert on reincarnation and regression therapy and has written some well-known books on the subject, the notable one being Children Who Have Lived Before.

Manju married in 1988 and remained in contact with the family of her previous birth. By that time she had forgotten most of the details from her past life apart from those relating to her tragic death.

Interestingly, Manju had always refused to go to the well. Perhaps, the fear of drowning in the previous life stayed with her even in this life!
